Amarendra Rout played a pivotal role in the formation and growth of Parents Association for welfare of the mentally retarded, Rourkela from the conception till he passed away prematurely. His wife Manjubala has remained with the parents and has brought up her 3 chidren including Ashish who has severe form of cerebral palsy with seizure disorder. She had given her elder daughter Lipa in marriage a couple of years back and on 29th June 2012 her younger daughter Sima got married. As expected the guest list included the whole of Home and Hope and many parents also attended the marriage. May Amarendra's soul rest in peace.
